4. An Emperor Palpatine Clone
Dark Horse ComicsClones have been a huge part of the Star Wars movie universe, seen most prominently during the prequel trilogy and the creation of the Clone Army. But that doesnt rule out the possibility that we could continue to see genetic duplication in Episode VII once again. Within the bowels of the Expanded Universe, there is a story-line that revolves around Emperor Palpatine transforming his subconscious into the younger body of a cloned version of himself. He then lies in waiting until the perfect time presents itself to strike the recently formed New Republic. While the filmmakers of Episode VII are on the record as saying the Expanded Universe story lines will not be portrayed in the upcoming films, it still doesn't mean they wont utilize this particular gem of an aspect from the EU in Episode VII. Can it be denied how exciting it would be to see a younger, stronger version of Palpatine waging war against the New Republic? Imagine a conflict involving a spry, rejuvenated Palpatine and an older, worn down Luke Skywalker. The battle could be epic and a perfectly fitting conclusion to the Skywalker anthology.
