Star Wars: 9 Things We Could See In Episode IX
1. A Final Showdown
Despite their tussle in the forest in Episode XII, it would be fair to say that there hasn't been a proper showdown between Rey and Kylo Ren. With them both being young and not yet masters of the force, their fight on Starkiller Base was not a choreographed masterpiece.
It was nothing like Obi-Wan and Anakin's fight at the end of Revenge of the Sith, nor was it like Obi-Wan and Darth Vader's pensioner duel in A New Hope. It was very much in between, and paves the way for an emotionally weighted fight between them in Episode IX.
A lot will have happened between their first fight and what may be their last, including Han and Luke's death, possibly Leia's death, the near destruction of the Resistance and Snoke meeting his demise at the hands of Kylo himself. Therefore, there is a lot of backstory to any future duel between them.
Come the end of Episode IX, hopefully we will see two masterful force-users battling it out for the sake of the galaxy. Bring on Episode IX.
