Star Wars: Detours - First Footage

The first footage of Seth Green's Star Wars 'toon" has surfaced online.

The first footage of Seth Green's Lucasfilm Ltd endorsed Star Wars 'toon" has surfaced online. Star Wars fans can relax a little easier as it's not quite as "cute" as first expected. The trailer for Star Wars: Detours was aired at Celebration VI in Orlando, and is a collaboration of Robot Chicken creators Seth Green, Matt Senreich and director Todd Grimes. Check out the trailer below; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-yRNXFhboBI&feature=player_embedded The first thing that is striking is the similarities to the Robot Chicken Star Wars episodes, with the exact same voices applied to characters like the Emperor and Boba Fett. Whilst Star Wars: Detours certainly looks child friendly enough (what, with its bright colours and exaggerated character designs),the humour doesn't appear to be quite as early-years-friendly as perhaps expected way back when details of this show was first announced. When this show is released (no details on that, yet OR even what form it will take), it will divide a vast fan base, no doubt about that. Here's the official description, followed by some more clips below;
"Star Wars Detours" is an animated comedy that explores what daily life is like in a galaxy far, far away. There are no Empires striking back or attacking clones here. Instead, "Star Wars Detours" focuses on the universe€™s regular folks and their everyday problems€ which, to be fair, do frequently involve famous bounty hunters, crazed Ewoks, and even a Dark Lord of the Sith. Welcome to "Star Wars: Detours": the other side of the stars, between the wars.
