Star Wars Episode 7: 10 Awesome Characters We Don't Want To See

5. Mace Windu

Mace Windu Ask most Star Wars fans what they think of Mace Windu, and they'll say he's a badass Jedi. But is he really? Or are we making that assumption only because he's portrayed by Samuel L. Jackson, an actor who always plays badass characters? When you look at Mace Windu objectively, you realize that he doesn't have much of a personality. The lines he delivers could have been given to any of the Jedi masters. And even though he's supposed to be incredibly skilled at Jedi combat, he doesn't fight particularly well. He essentially dies by falling out of a window, which is disappointing and anticlimactic. It's mystifying that Georgia Lucas hired an actor known for his cool-yet-menacing roles and then failed to fully develop the character. There's a rumor going around that Windu actually survived his fall and wasn't killed by Palpatine, so it would be easy to bring him back for Episode VII. But unless he gets a personality transplant, what would be the point?
