It really isn't a proper Star Wars movie without some sort of Vader rumour, is it?

With Episode IX set to conclude the Skywalker saga, it's fully expected that it will try and cram in as much cool stuff as possible - and there's a chance that shiny ol' Darth Granddad will be among the movie's vast collection of returning characters.

At the end of August, Movieweb published a report that discussed a Vader-centric rumour. Apparently, Episode IX will include a scene featuring Kylo Ren, Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader, with the latter two being some sort of Force ghost or vision, appearing to Kylo as he struggles with the weight of his family legacy:

"(The scene shows) Kylo Ren standing in what appears to be a new throne room for himself. In front of him is a window, a wide window looking out to space. In the window is a reflection of what seems to be a hybrid Force ghost of Anakin's face - half of which is Anakin, half of which is Vader."

Movieweb stated that concept art for this scene does exist, and that the source of said concept art also accurately leaked details of Luke's final moments in The Last Jedi. One of the biggest parts of the trilogy is Kylo's struggle between the light and the dark, so it wouldn't be surprising to see Vader pop up while he grapples with his destiny.
