8. It Going To Be A Lot "Darker" Than Episode VII

True to the way that The Empire Strikes Back moved the original Star Wars trilogy into darker territory, one cast member has teased that Episode VIII will do something similar. According to actor John Boyega, the film is set to be "much darker," which is about as vague a revelation as they come, but still - it's conformation of what a lot of people envisioned for the direction of the next instalment in the saga. So what can we take from Boyega's comments, aside from the obvious? More deaths? Will Rey, like Luke before her, be tempted towards the Dark Side of the Force? Will Kylo Ren send another iconic hero to the galactic graveyard? You better believe that, whatever happens, Rian Johnson is going to leave fans with their mouths hanging open.
