Star Wars: Every Sith Who Turned To The Light Side

Kyle Katarn has led a strange life, since he flipped from good to bad to good to bad to good again! After he erroneously believed the Rebel Alliance was responsible for his father's demise, Katarn became a Stormtrooper. When he learned the his father was killed in an attack sanctioned by the Empire, he became a mercenary for the Rebels. During this time, he defeated the Dark Jedi, Jerec, which freed thousands of Jedi souls that had been trapped for millennia.

Although Katarn was labelled as a hero across the galaxy, things went south when he visited the Sith world, Dromund. After entering the Dark Force Temple, its evil energies corrupted Katarn's soul. When Luke Skywalker's wife, Mara Jade, tried to rescue him, he attacked her.

Mara Jade believed fighting Katarn would cause him to descend further to the ways of the Sith and so, refused to engage in battle. This strategy worked, since Kyle acknowledged he was being manipulated by the Dark Force Temple. However, he was left so rattled from the incident, he never attempted to use the Force ever again.
