Well, we all knew it (and I thought it was confirmed anyway), but Alden Ehrenreich is officially the young Han Solo. The announcement came in the final panel of Star Wars Celebration, where directors of the untitled Han Solo Star Wars Story, Phil Lord and Chris Miller (Jump Street, The Lego Movie), introduced the actor to the galaxy far, far away.

There's been a bit of trepidation around the film online, mainly because it's both a prequel and a take on one of the most iconic Star Wars characters, but none of that scepticism could be found in the audience, who were as receptive to the film as they were Episode VIII (read about that portion of the panel here).

Maybe it's because Ehrenreich is an inspired choice - as John Boyega later pointed out, he has the Solo smile - although as it's been an accepted fact for a good month (host Pablo Hidalgo calling it the "worst kept secret" was putting it lightly), it doesn't really count as a reveal. That's not to say we learnt nothing at the panel - here's the six major takeaways.
