Agen Kolar was the last Jedi Master appointed to the Council before the Republic fell to the Empire.
He was placed on the Council following the removal of Master Eeth Koth and Master Koth's decision to leave the Order entirely.
Because of his skills as a duellist and the high regard he was held in by Mace Windu and Saesee Tiin, Kolar was deemed an appropriate replacement.
