Star Wars: Ranking The Jedi High Council From Worst To Best

Mace Windu was the champion of the Jedi Council - an incredibly strong duellist completely committed to the Jedi Code. Believing that politics played no role in the ways of the Jedi, he was often suspicious of politicians, particularly Chancellor Palpatine.

Windu was seen as one of the Order's greatest warriors, able to tap into the Dark Side during fights without being entirely consumed by it.

He had a distinct distrust of Anakin Skywalker, too, and whilst it could be argued that this didn't help the soon-to-be Dark Lord very much in the long run, Windu's ability to hold his own against Palpatine and be a leading voice on the Council mean he's well deserving of his place on this list.
