According to Star Wars lore, Master Plo Koon was said to be the only Jedi able to defeat Yoda in lightsaber combat. Stoic, immeasurably calm and one of the Order's most gifted pilots (praised even by master pilot Anakin Skywalker), he was seen as not just a staggeringly gifted warrior, but one of the Council's wisest ever members.
He brought Anakin's future Padawan Ahsoka Tano to the Temple, and was one of the loudest and most respected voices on the Council during the Clone Wars, known for his measured and considered opinions.
He was killed by his clones whilst taking part in an air battle, his death one of the many felt by Yoda, signalling the beginning of the Purge.
