Star Wars: Rogue One - 10 Major Plot Clues From The Final Trailer

This is the most we've seen of Vader in Rogue One, yet he's still being used very sparingly. That's not a bad thing, either, as it keeps an air of mystery about his exact role, and saves the good stuff for the movie itself.

What this trailer does do, though, is establish a sense of conflict between Vader and Director Krennic. Their first meeting is Krennic trying to sell Vader on the POWAH of the Death Star; the second is an angry-looking Vader (ok, it's hard to tell with a guy in a mask, but his purposeful entrance suggests he's pissed off) striding towards the Director.

It's likely we're going to see Krennic running the show, and Vader in a much smaller, more isolated role, but with the occasional opportunity to cut-loose. Unfortunately for Krennic, once those plans are stolen, he's going to suffer the wrath of Vader. It's why we don't see Krennic after this movie, helps explain his attitude at the beginning of Episode IV, but is still more on the leash there as well.
