Star Wars: Rogue One - 13 Things You Missed In The Teaser Trailer

5. Alan Tudyk's Droid

Although we don't get a proper, full-on look at him, Alan Tudyk's droid does appear in a couple of different shots, although it's to the side or hiding in the background.

Tudyk's performance is motion-capture, and his droid has a certain resemblance to IG-88. It's likely we'll get a better look at him the closer we get to the movie, when the effects work will be more complete, but there are still a couple of things to glean from his fleeting appearances.

The first is that he's with Jyn Erso on each occasion, so he's almost certainly her droid. The other are the markings on his back, which are the same as those found on the back of Stormtrooper uniforms, lending credit to the rumours that he'll be a repurposed Imperial droid.
