There's a pretty blatant implication here, that the Stormtroopers, long held as a source of mockery among fans for their poor aim and general uselessness against anyone capable of movement, are nothing compared to the Deathtroopers, who metaphorically have them in the palm of their hand, look down on them and see them as a silly play-thing.

It's a subtle but meaningful exchange which helps establish the Deathtroopers at the total bada**es they are.
