8. Lor San Tekka Will Appear

Lor San Tekka was a fleeting character in The Force Awakens, there simply to set events in motion, but he clearly knew a lot more than we saw in that film. With that in mind, could he actually appear again earlier in the timeline?

One theory suggests so, positing that we'll actually see a younger version of San Tekka in Rogue One. Not only that, but he'll actually form a part of the team. This would fit with the idea of him fighting against the Empire previously, having witnessed the Clone Wars growing up and idolising the Jedi.

There's certainly some understandable logic here, given he's an old ally of Leia and knows about the Force, but this would be a strange connection to make between a film set before A New Hope and a film set decades after it.
