First Mendelsohn, now Whitaker? Yup, Rogue One has brought together quite a cast. If only they'd shown Mads Mikkelsen. One for next time, I guess.

Anyway, back to Whitaker. How exactly his character factors into the story is, unsurprising given the complete silence on the project up until now, unknown, but based on what we do see here - he's got a limp (possibly due to a robotic leg), a scar on the right side of his face and is wearing some pretty cumbersome battle armour - I'd hazard that he's a lone wolf or bounty hunter, hiding from the Empire and believing them a force too big to topple.

This idea and the 'means to an end' stuff with the Rebellion are very interesting concepts I can't wait to see explored in the context of the Star Wars mythos - it gives a much more realistic, less good/evil approach to war.
