Everything about Jyn screams the Doomed Chosen One archetype. She's likeHarry Potter, chosen for a mission that everyone knows probably doesn't have a happy ending, and the way the trailer is set up, it looks suspiciously like she's going to die.

That look on Mon Mothma's face in the war room seems even more loaded when you consider that potential context and theescalating scale of the threat to the Rogue One team looks insurmountable.

Inevitably there are already theories that Jyn is Rey's mother, but it would be far more dramatic for Jyn to sacrifice herself to get the Death Star plans safely away from the Empire.
