On top of spending more time on Jedha, the trailer provides a bit of coherence to the whole sequence. Here we that tank from earlier targeting a building, which I'm willing to bet where Saw is holed up and likely the reason why we don't see him anywhere else in the film (yup, it's a cameo).

Does this mean that Saw is the object of the whole Jedha mission? If so, it's a worthy sacrifice.
