Star Wars: Solo Trailer Breakdown - 20 Things You Need To See
16. Beckett
Woody Harrelson's character gets revealed to audiences and to Han himself, though no doubt the pair are familiar with each other at least a little by this point.
Beckett, as he's known, is putting together a team for a secret mission, which presumably is highly illegal. Beckett will serve as a mentor of sorts to Han in this movie, albeit one with questionable moral standards. Again, there'll likely be at least a degree of Legends influence here, with the character probably blending elements of something new with Garris Shrike, the Corellian crime boss who served as Han's mentor in the EU.
Beckett certainly looks suited to a life of crime, anyway, so that part of his character would easily fit, even if they tweak how the characters know each other (Shrike found Han as an orphan on the streets and raised him, which may be the case with Beckett too, but there's no sign of it here).
