Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7 - 10 Ways It's The REAL Conclusion To The Skywalker Saga
1. George Lucas Gets To Finish His Vision
It's common knowledge by now that the draft ideas for the sequel trilogy George Lucas gave to Disney as part of the acquisition deal were largely rejected, with the most recent films mainly being led by new creative teams.
While that's not necessarily a bad thing in itself, Disney remain keen to break away from Lucas's original vision going forward. That does open up doors for new, exciting stories, but it does signal the end of Lucas' time with the franchise.
The Clone Wars was the last screen-based project Lucas worked on before selling to Disney, and as such, his final vision never got an ending - until now. The show is full of his characters and his storylines, and this is the last time we'll ever see them on screen.
The Clone Wars is one final hurrah for the Skywalker Saga, and the George Lucas era of Star Wars as a whole.
