Star Wars: The Force Awakens - 9 Plot Holes That Almost Ruined The Film

1. How Did General Hux Manage To Find & Save Kylo Ren Minutes Before Starkiller Base Exploded?

You can conjure up as many explanations as you want for this one, but inside - deep inside your very core - you know that this is about a contrived a moment as they come. After Rey and Kylo Ren do battle in the woods, then, Poe Dameron and the Resistance attack the First Order and set off the chain reaction that will lead to the destruction of Starkiller Base. Just before the base explodes, though, General Hux meets with Supreme Leader Snoke's hologram and is told to find Kylo Ren and bring him to Snoke so that he can "finish his training." Okay, but how in the hell did Hux manage to track down Ren - who, by the way, is lying wounded in a random spot on a planet-sized base - in the few minutes left until the whole thing explodes into a zillion pieces? There just wasn't time! Hux doesn't know that Ren went off to find Rey and Finn, after all; finding him wouldn't be just a matter of walking into his bedroom and saying: "Bro, we've got to go. Snoke's waiting." It's lazy screenwriting, yes, but the idea of Hux finding him is so implausible that you wind up with a plot hole. If you're muttering "tracking device," you're far too forgiving.
