9. There's Nothing After The Credits

Don't bother sitting through ten minutes of credits expecting to see a stinger that reveals something for the rest of the series (unless there's a major diversion in the next ten days). When asked if there is any easter egg or extra scene after the credits, JJ Abrams was pretty clear:

"No there's not."

No doubt some will take that as a double dare to still sit and watch the credits roll all the way through, but Abrams has no reason to lie: it would literally be counter-productive to so clearly state something that would piss off fans so wildly. So there go the theories that we'd get a tease of Darth Vader rising again, or something equally major to seed Episode VIII in 2018 or an Ant-Man like scene-tease for Rogue One.
