24. The Raid Cameos
A lot of the film feels like it's been edited down for a quicker run time, meaning that some characters end up being introduced and then carted out. Maz Kanata is the biggest name on the pile, but two cameo figures also count. It had long been known that The Raid's Iko Uwais had been cast (and it was assumed he would play some part in fight choreography), but his Raid co-star Yayan Ruhian also makes an appearance. The pair play space pirates on the trail of Han and Chewie for a perceived slight on a deal they made together. It's a shame they couldn't have been used more - or, like, done any sort of fighting at all on-screen. All we ended up getting was an "oh hi" moment in passing.
