1. The Sith Lord Who Trains Kylo Ren
Even if Supreme Leader Snoke does turn out to be the overall leader of the First Order, he could be so much more besides. He could well be the Sith Lord who trains Kylo Ren, the master to his apprentice, continuing in the tradition of the Sith Rule of Two. It would certainly explain how Snoke can feel something awakening in the Force. But how to reconcile the probable racism of the First Order with the fact that Snoke has a CGI'd face and body? Well, it's entirely possible that Snoke is not an alien at all but is, actually, a skeleton-faced, cowled, Emperor Palpatine-style, human movie villain for the ages, and a Sith to boot. The CGI could be intended to achieve what make-up and prosthetics alone could not: the face of a man who is nothing more than an emaciated, walking cadaver. Given that The Force Awakens takes place only 30 years after Return Of The Jedi, how can Snoke have been absent during the original trilogy and yet be so old already? Remember what he says in the teaser: "There has been an awakening." What if it was Snoke that woke up? Having such an ancient, decrepit Sith could be a hint that he's awakened after long ages of slumber, slowly building his power from the earliest days of the order. Such a story idea would allow for tremendous insights into where the Sith came from. Exciting. Now fans just have to figure out who Max von Sydow is playing... Who or what do you think Snoke is? Did we totally nail his identity, or do you have an even better theory? Let us know in the comments section!
