Star Wars: The Force Awakens - 7 Cameos You Definitely Missed

6. Bill Hader

BB-8 is a character who moviegoers have been in love with since the first teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and the droid certainly lives up to the hype in the movie itself. The emotive sidekick of Poe Dameron uses movement and noises to express herself to great (and often very funny) effect, but it's the noises she - that's how Lucasfilm President has referred to BB-8 - makes which really bring her to life. Surprisingly, it was "BB-8 Vocal Consultant" Bill Hader who was responsible for those, and he's described what that involved as follows:
"JJ f**king around with this sound effects app on his iPad that was attached to a talk box operated by me. It looked ridiculous but it made BB-8's voice. At first I tried doing a voice, but we all agreed it sounded too human."
Parks and Recreation star Ben Schwartz receives the same credit, so both men clearly contributed in some way, but who would have ever guessed a human was in any way responsible for her "voice"?
