Star Wars: The Force Awakens - 8 Reasons It'll Live Up To The Hype (And 2 You'll Be Disappointed)

1. You'll Never Feel This Way Again

This is, quite simply, the most exciting film of my lifetime (I was nine when The Phantom Menace came out, so although I was already long-since hooked on the original trilogy, the hype around Episode I didn't really get to me). It's certainly the biggest too. The excitement for the film has been steadily building over the past three years, since it was first announced, and it has only grown with each passing trailer, reveal, or just general day as we inch ever closer to the release date. There's a possibility of combustion before the film is released, that's how exciting it is. And then, what? If it's good-to-great, then that's incredible. If it's average, then at least it's not terrible. If it's terrible, well I don't even want to contemplate that idea right now. But the point is, it'll be what it is, and that'll be that. Then it's only a year later until Rogue One, and six months after that we'll have Episode VIII. We are never going to have to wait so long between Star Wars films ever again, at least not for the foreseeable future. The hype, the excitement, the mystery, it's all building to the film being released, and it's wonderful to be a part of, even if the desperation to see the film grows more painful each day. Savour it, because with a Star Wars film arriving every year, no matter how good they'll be (and they sound rather great), you're never going to feel quite this way again. Do you think Star Wars: The Force Awakens will live up to the hype? Or will it be a Phantom Menace level let-down? Share your hot take down in the comments.
