Star Wars: The Force Awakens - 8 Reasons It'll Live Up To The Hype (And 2 You'll Be Disappointed)
2. Every Trailer Has Looked Amazing
The first teaser for The Force Awakens was unleashed in November last year. The second teaser not until April. It was months after that we got the full-length trailer, and since then there's been an asteroid field of new footage and TV spots. The chances of not seeing any of it are 3,720-1. If somehow you haven't seem them, and really I've no idea how you would manage such a thing if you have both an internet connection and eyes, then you have really missed out. There have been no real spoilers, and even if there had it wouldn't ruin just how fantastic it looks. Lightsabers, Stormtroopers, the Dark Side and the Light, sunsets, landscapes, and some absolutely insane spaceship battles have all featured in the trailers. And they look incredible. Given how amazing all the footage looks, it can't actually be bad, can it? (Yes, I'm aware films - even Star Wars ones - have had great trailers in the past and been terrible, but still.)
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
