Star Wars: The Force Awakens - 9 New Cast Members' Best Roles So Far

Never seen a Boyega or von Sydow movie before? We've got you covered.

Seven months may seem like a long time to wait, but considering the last Star Wars movie came out in 2005, relatively there really isn't that long left to go until The Force Awakens graces cinema screens later this year. And the film brings with it, along with some of the stars of George Lucas's original trilogy, a whole host of new faces. Some of them are unknowns, many are newcomers or actors who've only recently become famous, while one is a veteran who's into his eighth decade as an actor. All, however, are about to become bigger stars than they ever have been. Before the new Star Wars cast members are granted megastardom with the release of The Force Awakens on 18th December, fans could maybe use a primer for what to expect from these fresh performers. Every one has at least one classic film (or TV show) and one great performance under their belt already, and those looking to prepare themselves for December can go out and watch them all right now. Daisy Ridley is absent from this list through necessity: to date, she's only had bit-parts, none of which have been large enough to warrant a place here. But every other major newbie has been accounted for. Here are the nine new Force Awakens actors and their best roles to date.
