Star Wars: The Force Awakens Ending - 10 Implications For Episode VIII

1. Rey's Training

Say hello to the new Luke Skywalker. Whether she's actually revealed to be Luke's daughter or not, it seems inevitable that Rey is going to discover more about her past and how closely she is tied to the son of Vader. Those tell-tale flashes in the basement of Maz Kanata's base and Kylo Ren's hint that Rey already knew where Luke was hiding suggest that Rey could have been one of those children Luke was training in his fledgling Jedi school before Ren's betrayal. Why else would Luke allow her to find him? He is undoubtedly powerful enough to have felt her presence. And it would fill in the gaps of how she was immediately able to use Force powers despite no apparent training. Confirmation of that theory should then see the pair reunited as Jedi and apprentice (assuming Luke gets over his aversion to playing the teacher role) with Rey embracing her already impressive powers to then go and take down Snoke.
