The day has finally arrived! Star Wars: The Force Awakens has hit cinemas after three long years of waiting. Looking back on it, it almost doesn't seem like that long a time. Right? Guys? For those of you who attended a midnight screening last night, what did you think of the film? Was it worth the wait? Those of you who haven't seen The Force Awakens yet (and who are for some brave reason deciding to read articles about it) be sure to check back in here with your thoughts once you do! So far, the reviews have largely been overwhelmingly positive; the film sits at a critical average of 95% on Rotten Tomatoes, compiled from 188 reviews at the time of writing. General fan reaction is looking strong out of the gate (92% on Rotten Tomatoes, 9.0/10 on IMDb), but the final verdict will have to wait until Monday morning when the weekend's global box office takings are revealed. If the buzz is any indication then this movie is going to be breaking records left, right and centre over the holiday season. Current estimates for its opening weekend are sitting at around $200 million domestic, and that's not even including the international markets. Time will tell if The Force Awakens manages to steal the box office crown from Jurassic World with a scant few days left in the year, but it's definitely possible. Star Wars: The Force Awakens is out now in the UK and released tomorrow in the US!
