The EW cover stories are all about key pairings from the film - Rey and Kylo Ren, Finn and Rose, Poe and Amilyn Holdo - but none are as important to Star Wars fans as the fourth cover: Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa.

They're reunited on the front, but the magazine itself asks the question of whether or not they'll be reunited in the film. It's undoubtedly a moment that would be incredible to witness and emotional in its own right (and even more so after the passing of Carrie Fisher), but Johnson is, understandably, being coy on the matter, saying: "It’s nice seeing them on the cover though. Even if all we have is that."

While there's no confirmation, there is a lot said about the importance of the two characters to each other, both from the fact they're brother and sister but more importantly, Johnson says, "that they’re Luke and Leia."

For where his character is at, and Luke's relationship with Leia, Mark Hamill said: “Luke longs to have that extended family that he established in the original trilogy, but now he’s at a place in his life and in his history where he’s shunned all of that. The big question is why didn’t he respond to Leia during [The Force Awakens]? There’s a lot of things you can’t answer until you see this movie.”
