Star Wars: The Last Jedi Official Trailer Breakdown - 28 Things You Need To See
8. Not Going The Way Rey Thinks
After the space fox we go back to Ahch-To - the marketing is refusing to show Luke anywhere else - and he's got a stark warning for Rey, telling her: "This is not going to go the way you think."
Luke himself looks quite pained by the situation, and it's like the Yoda-Luke training scenes turned way, way darker. It remains to be seen how accurate the rumblings of Luke being the villain are, but it's apparent this guy is very different to the one we saw in the Original Trilogy. The alternative to all this, of course, is that the line is directed to Kylo Ren, and it's part of the flashback to when he destroyed the Academy - the rain fits with what we saw in Rey's Forceback, but it equally fits as a warning to Rey about him mentoring her.
Rey, meanwhile, continues her training by diving into some water, and when she emerges we get some nice mirroring of the opening of the teaser trailer.
It's all very dark and ominous, and really confirms that Luke is not what Rey - or fans - expected.
