Rey eventually ends up heading to Ahch-To with a half-baked plan to exile herself there and cut herself off from the Force just as Luke did.

But of course, she's soon enough visited by a Force ghost of Luke, who confesses that his way was wrong, and Rey needs to get back out into the fight.

To bolster his support of Rey, he uses his Force powers to raise his old X-Wing out of the sea - as we briefly saw housed there in The Last Jedi.

Quite how the thing's still operational despite being exposed to saltwater for over a decade, though, is anyone's guess.

Fans also received another brief glimpse of the Porgs, the adorable pint-sized creatures which made their debut in The Last Jedi, who were surely relieved to see Rey sans-Chewie.
