Star Wars VII: 10 Expanded Universe Characters Who Deserve To Appear

1. Grand Admiral Thrawn

Star Wars Thrawn The greatest Expanded Universe creation and the one most deserving of a film appearance considering there is already a built in trilogy concerning him. Grand Admiral Thrawn united the reeling Imperial military and took the New Republic to the brink before his untimely assassination. Thrawn's military genius was unmatched by anyone else in the Republic and he reeled off victory after victory, becoming a rallying point for his troops and earning both respect and fear from his allies and enemies alike. Grand Admiral Thrawn was unconventional for a leading Imperial Office. He studied the arts of different species in order to build psychological profiles of those he had to meet in combat and he patiently spent years uncovering hidden Imperial technology before launching his assault. His charisma, intelligence, and commanding persona make him potentially an iconic movie character if played by a capable actor and he's the main reason that the Heir to the Empire trilogy is considered by many to be the unofficial seven, eight and nine of the series. Who Should Play them: Daniel Day-Lewis or Michael Fassbender Which other expanded universe characters do you think deserve to be included in JJ Abrams' Episode VII? Share your picks below.

I love movies, literature, history, music and the NBA. I love all things nerdy including but not limited to Star Wars, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, and Firefly. My artistic idols are Dylan, Dostoevsky, and Malick and my goal in life is to become like Bernard Black from Black Books. When I die, I hope to turn into the space baby from 2001: A Space Odyssey.
