Star Wars: What Happened To EVERY Jedi That Survived Order 66
6. Naq Med
Naq Med is a Star Wars character who deserves much more backstory and fan fare. A Jedi Padawan before the start of the Clone Wars, he left the Jedi Order years before the execution of Order 66. When he learned of the rise of the Empire, he believed Palpatine's reports that the Jedi were plotting an uprising and stayed hidden.
For some time, all was well. Med has a daughter called J'Hara by his wife, and the former Jedi was at peace. However, his presence was eventually felt by the Grand Inquisitor, who tracked him down. The two warriors duelled, and Med, wanting to protect his family, was able to summon enough strength to destroy the Inquisitor's lightsaber and win the duel.
Although the Grand Inquisitor managed to survive the skirmish, Med did, too. He escaped from his new home and travelled to the planet Pam'ba, away from his family, so they could live in safety. He died some 30 years after the fall of the Empire, and passed knowing that he had been able to protect his family.
After his death, his grandson, Karr Nuq Sin, took Med's robes and Jedi possessions with the hope of telling future generations about the history of the Jedi. Sin's story can be read in the novel "Force Collector".
