Stephen King's IT: What The Ending Really Means

1. We're Getting A Sequel

The long and short of all of this is that we're going to get a second chapter to It, and it's going to be excellent,

Just as the original text was split into two time-zones, and the mini-series followed, the second Chapter will jump to 27 years later, and should arrive in cinemas around 2019.

You'd hope that Andre Muschietti would be confirmed to direct, since he's done so well with the first one, and he has confirmed that he plans to have a script ready early next year, so it seems pretty unlikely he'd be removed now.

We'll get more mythology, more strangeness and a grown-up cast to play the Losers Club. And honestly, it can't come soon enough.
