Stephen King's Cell gets two writers

cell.jpgThis story broke yesterday but for some reason I missed it. Now we already know that Hostel director Eli Roth is to helm the adaptation of the recent Stephen King novel Cell but we haven't heard too much about the project since that annoucement back in March. Well things seem to be moving along a bit quicker now as the movie has just hired two writers to pen the script. Scott Alexander and Larry Kareszewski are the guys in question. Their resume has been a bit hit and miss so far, they wrote the awesome Ed Wood and Man on the Moon but at the same time wrote the scripts for Problem Child and Agent Cody Banks. The duo most recently penned the script for another Stephen King movie adaptation... that of 1408 which is to released next year starring Samuel L. Jackson and John Cusack. King is certainly going through somewhat of a revival lately with no less than SIX of his novels currently in production for a cinematic adaptation. He's releasing more books to at the moment and I must admit I really enjoyed Cell, it was way gory but was tense, exicting and had a really fun plot. Should be right up Roth's alley then as long as he doesn't get to carried away with the violence and forgets about the story. source - aintitcoolnews
