Suicide Squad: 13 Biggest Questions We Want Answered

Worst. Heroes. Ever?

Suicide Squad Joker Questions

So that's it, huh? Suicide Squad is the worst film ever. Time to lock the inmates up in Arkham Asylum, and put an end to the DC Extended Universe. Seeing this film is gonna hurt you, really, really bad.

Or so the reaction to the early reviews would have us all believe anyway. After certain sections of the press started unveiling their thoughts on the film, everything went into meltdown. It was the top trend on Twitter because of how bad the reviews were. People who genuinely believe critics are paid by Marvel are outraged. There's even a petition to shut down Rotten Tomatoes, because obviously they're helping to perpetrate this mass anti-DC conspiracy.

And that all overlooks one key point: the film's not even out yet. Suicide Squad is one of the most anticipated films of the year, with excitement building ever since last year's Comic-Con. And, well, that's still the case.

The marketing for the film (up until the reviews came out) has been superb, teasing the movie and its madcap characters without giving too much away. That means that as we approach the movie's release, there's still a lot we don't know about, and a lot of questions we need answers to - regardless of how bad it might be.

13. Will It Setup The Other DCEU Films?

Suicide Squad Joker Questions

Suicide Squad takes place within the DC Extended Universe, with at least one major character (Batman) making an appearance, and another (Superman) already referenced during the trailers.

However, compared to the other films it is something of an outlier. There's no hero playing a major part here, and seemingly not a lot to connect it to the Justice League. So while DC are attempting to build their own shared universe, just how will the Squad fit in?

The most likely option is that it'll do some work with Batman, either in flashback or present, that helps set things up for his solo movie, but otherwise it's difficult to see how much it'll connect.
