24. Why Is Harley Quinn Even In The Suicide Squad?
You can kinda see why most of the Skwad is in Task Force X; Deadshot is a master marksman, El Diablo can make fire, Slipknot's a skilled army guy (probably, there was very little effort put in setting him ahead of the "shock" death), Killer Croc's basically a monster, Enchantress is a full on sorcerer and even Captain Boomerang offers some snazzy tech.
The odd one out, most certainly, is Harley Quinn. What does she offer? Yes, she's insane, but psychosis will only get you into the battle, it won't protect you. How is she going to go up against any threat? And if she's not immediately shot out of action, how is a baseball bat really all that useful? There's little logic to Waller bringing her in beyond the movie having no hook without. Yes, I know she's in the Squad's New 52 vintage, but c'mon.
