Suicide Squad: 30 Easter Eggs & References You Must See

Suicide Squad Easter Eggs
Warner Bros.

You really have to feel for Adam Beach. His character isn't even given a backstory or a flashback to him being apprehended - he's billed only as "the guy who can climb anything" (LAME) and he meets his end roughly 18 seconds after first appearing.

But at least his death echoes a key moment in the comics. In 1989’s Suicide Squad #9, Boomerang once more attempts to test whether Rick Flag is serious about his bombs by convincing Slipknot that it's a bluff. Sadly for him, he believes it and attempts to escape, getting his arm blown off for his troubles.

It's less gruesome than the death, but it's definitely where it comes from.
