Suicide Squad: 30 Easter Eggs & References You Must See

When theSquad arrive for "roll-call" with Rick Flag at the military base, Captain Boomerang is unceremoniously dumped on the ground out of a mail bag, and promptly gets out and picks an immediate fight.

If you look closely, the bag is actually an Australian mail bag, in homage to the character's Ozzy heritage. Presumably the Flash delivered him that way (clearly a fan of fun backstory gags).

Though his costume looks wildly different to the ridiculous one worn originally by the character in the comics, Boomerang's updated outfit does have specific hints back. The blue jacket under his coat is a nod to his original costume (with its white detailing) and he has the same mini boomerangs up his sleeves of his overcoat.
