After the self contained Man of Steel, the DC Cinematic Universe will finally begin with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice next year. It will then continue to expand when Suicide Squad is released, and Batman being spotted on set is a strong indication that Warner Bros. will build this world with more than just a few meaningless Easter Eggs and mentions. Suicide Squad won't simply mention Batman; he'll be in it.
