Suicide Squad: 9 Major Implications For Future DC Movies

2. Batman And Amanda Waller's Uneasy Alliance

After the Suicide Squad has completed the mission, and Midway City left in tatters, Amanda Waller begins the process of clearing up her mess. Needing to keep it as under wraps as possible, she asks Bruce Wayne for a favour, and in return we have the Justice League setup.

However, there are a few interesting moments outside of just the documents Waller hands him. One is that she suggests she knows Bruce Wayne is Batman, when he tells him that he needs to "stop working nights." It adds a bit more strength to Waller, showcasing how far her reach extends, and gives their relationship a little more colour.

The other is that Batman demands the Squad be shut down, but also tells Waller she is under his protection. Both of those are potential plot points to be picked up on in the future - if there's a Squad sequel, for example - and with Waller still at large, albeit needing to keep details of Task Force X quiet, there's scope for them to further explore the uneasy alliance this pair have now formed.
