Suicide Squad: Killer Croc Actually Stole King Shark's Place

We almost got to see a WILD addition to Task Force X...

Remember those rumours about King Shark possibly turning up in Suicide Squad a while back? Well, it seems they might have actually had some legs at one point.

Director David Ayer has revealed that he actually wanted the fishy villain in the film as part of Task Force X, but that the CGI requirements derailed the plans:

"One of the characters I was thinking about for the squad line-up was King Shark, but we realised it would take a lot of work - a lot of CG work."

So who did we get instead?

"We actually ended up going with Killer Croc who turned out to be the right guy for the job."

There's still a chance we might get to see a cameo from King Shark (since that rumour has also refused to die), but if he's in, it's likely to be no more than that. The concerns about fully CGI rendered characters are fair enough really, but we've seen the villain on The Flash - with a considerably smaller budget - and it worked there.

Let's hope the villain gets a chance to appear in the sequel that will inevitably follow...
