Superman: Man of Steel Logo Revealed!
A fancy new logo doesn't distract from the fact it's still over a year before we will see the movie.

Warner Brothers have revealed the all new Superman logo for the upcoming Man of Steel movie. The new logo for Man of Steel, due for release June 14 2013 (yes, that's 2013 folks), has a whole lot more texture than previous movie efforts but is more in tune with classic Superman imagery than the Superman Returns symbol was.
Hopefully this is the beginning of the big build up to Comic Con which I'm hoping makes a massive deal out of this new blockbuster project and ideally we'll get a trailer there too, or indeed attached to Dark Knight Rises in July. Either way this teasing image feels like trailer material to me and it's a trailer I can't wait to see. So far I've grown to like the suit (that cape is so perfect), Henry Cavill has already won me over as Superman (whether he can do the same for Clark Kent is yet to be seen) and just the idea of Michael Shannon as comic book villan General Zod is enough to make this sound like Supes might actually get to tussle with someone major this time out rather than just stopping bullets with his eyeballs. With visual powerhouse Zack Snyder tackling this huge project and Christopher Nolan to keep hold of the reigns, Superman may finally get the modern movie comeback he deserves but with more than a year left to go (and a far few cracking blockbusters to get through this year first) it's going to take a bit more than a glowing logo to get everyone more excited about this one but it's a start. Are you looking forward to another reboot for the Superman universe?
