SUPERMAN: THE MAN OF STEEL plot revealed, script is ‘rushed… still a bit of a mess’?

Much of this is mentioned in the post directly below but it's a story that probably deserves it's own thread. With more information about Warner Brothers' reboot leaking everyday, Vulture quietly announced yesterday that David Goyer and Jonathan Nolan's screenplay for 'Superman: The Man of Steel' finds;
Clark Kent a journalist traveling the world trying to decide if he should, in fact, even become Superman.
We know 'Superman: The Man of Steel' is an origin movie of sorts, so this plot rumour holds up. My worst fear is that a 'postcard Eat Pray Love' style movie is planned as Kent tries to 'find himself' around the beauty of the world's landmarks, but then I tend to be a little pessimistic about most reboots. Vulture also say Goyer and Nolan's script was "rushed" and is indeed "still a bit of a mess" which led them to WB hiring someone who was less picky about the state of the project and could work fast (as they must have the film in development by 2011), which led them to Zack Snyder. At least two others were more wanted or offered the role before him - Darren Aronofsky and Ben Affleck.
