T- 24 to Sundance 09!!!

Greetings from Park City, Utah! My name is Darcy (spare me the PRIDE AND PREJUDICE jokes) and I will be blogging to you live from Park City over the next two weeks to relay my experiences at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival! Just to give you a brief introduction, I am a 20-something aspiring writer/director and film school alum who has come to Sundance to seek inspiration and possibly make some good contacts (yeah, I am pretty much like every other festival blogger out there). While I can€™t promise to fill the shoes of Matt or Pete or match their wry British humor (I am an American, and a female at that) I will do my best to give honest and only slightly biased reviews of the films, as well fill you in on any other interesting news or developments (parties!).

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 14th. Today was registration and pass-pick up day and things are still on the quiet side in Park City, despite the fact that in less than 24 hours, the tiny mountain resort town will be transformed into the epicenter of international cinema culture. Sundance €™09 officially kicks off tomorrow evening with a gala event and several highly anticipated screenings. Stay tuned for my opening night reviews of MARY AND MAX, a quirky claymation film from Australia and LYMELIFE, an indie coming-of-age story which boasts Scorsese as its executive producer. presspass
