Teen Titans Go! To The Movies Review: 7 Ups & 2 Downs
The funniest DC film ever made.
It may not be one of the year's most anticipated superhero movies, but Teen Titans Go! To the Movies is without question one of the most surprising and ludicrously entertaining cape films released this year (so far).
Whether you're a fan of the animated series or totally new to these characters, this snappy, spritely and riotously funny animated romp is a refreshingly silly comic book film that's been scoring shockingly strong reviews from most critics to date.
If you're a self-serious DC fan who can't stomach any criticism of the brand, this may not be the movie for you, but if you're able to appreciate a self-deprecating love letter to all things superhero, Teen Titans Go! To the Movies is an absolute must-see.
It'd be easy for a film like this to aim for the lowest-common denominator, but the experience is mercifully far more akin to something like The Lego Movie: a delightful kid-friendly animation with a ton of killer content that'll also leave adults cracking up...
