Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Trailer Has Landed - Watch It Here!

They're back... and more Michael Bay-like than ever! BOOM!

It's Turtle time! Right? Hello? Turtle... time? Admit it: we all forgot that this was actually a thing, didn't we? Well, it still totally is, and here's the first - very brief - teaser trailer to prove it. After what seems like forever since this project was actually announced, Paramount and Nickelodeon (there's a combo if ever there was one) have unleashed a 1 minute 30 second glimpse of those Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in action, and the results are... well, exactly as we imagined, actually, given who's involved. That's to say, there's clearly a Transformers-y vibe going on here, what the explosions and panning shots of cityscapes that have been conjured entirely for their destruction potential - not to mention the fact that Megan Fox is here, too, playing the role of reporter April O'Neil, though she doesn't get to say a line or anything. As for the Turtles themselves? Well, they kind of look like they've been rendered with the same engine as they used for The Smurfs. Other than that, we've treated to a glimpse of some intense-looking battles, a shot of bad guy Shredder, an incredibly earnest William Fichtner on voiceover duty, and some jokes that may or not be funny when viewed in the context of the film. All in all, it looks like it's going to be another Michael Bay CG explosionfest... but what else did we expect? Check it out here, ya'll: The film is slated for a May 16 release date in the US, and stars Megan Fox, Pete Ploszek, Noel Fisher, Jeremy Howard, Alan Ritchson, Danny Woodburn, Whoopi Goldberg, William Fichtner, Will Arnett and Abby Elliott. What do you make of the trailer, then? Is it enough to convince you that it could be a good movie, or are the Turtles looking at a destiny akin to that of the Transformers?
