Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Cast Revealed!
Hot on the hells of the revelation that Alan Ritchson will play Raphael - today Deadline confirm the rest of the Ninja Turtles have been cast. Pete Ploszek will be Leonardo, Jeremy Howard will be Donatello, and Noel Fisher will be Michelangelo. Of the four, Ritchson (Raphael) is the most high profile with his upcoming role as Gloss in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and having played Arthur Curry aka Aquaman on the TV show Smallville. Fisher (Michelangelo) is a regular on Shameless and appeared as Vladimir in last years The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2. Howard (Donatello) has had minor roles in Breaking Bad, Grays Anatomy and Suburgatory, and Ploszek has so far had two roles on Shameless and Parks and Recreation. They join Megan Fox, who will play April ONeill, for this reboot of the popular Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise. Yet to be cast are Splinter, the Turtles wise rat sensei, and the likely villain of the film, Shredder. Previous Ninja Turtles films have either been live action, with awkward-looking body-suits, or completely CGI but this reboot is said to be a mix of the two, filmed in the style of Avatar to give the Turtles a more sophisticated look. With Director Jonathan Liebesman (Battle Los Angeles, Wrath of the Titans) and Producer Michael Bay (Transformers, The Rock), Ninja Turtles is scheduled for release on 6 June 2014.
